Last updated: 30 July 2026
Who we are
Ascot Roofing Limited is the controller of the personal information described in this notice. We are registered in England and Wales under company number 09424770. Our registered office is 46 Holbeck, Bracknell, RG12 8XE.
For data protection enquiries, call us on 01344 698707, use our website enquiry form, or write to our registered office.
Information we collect
When you contact us or ask us to carry out roofing work, we may collect your name, telephone number, email address, postal address or project location, details of your roof or enquiry, photographs or documents you provide, quotations, contracts, invoices, payment records and correspondence.
Our website may also record limited technical information needed for security and reliable operation, such as an IP address and the time a form is submitted.
Why we use it and our lawful bases
- To answer enquiries, arrange visits and prepare quotations: taking steps at your request before entering into a contract and our legitimate interest in running our business.
- To supply roofing services, manage projects, payments and guarantees: performance of a contract.
- To keep tax, accounting, safety and other records: compliance with legal obligations.
- To protect our business, resolve disputes and improve our services: our legitimate interests, where these do not override your rights.
We do not use information submitted through the enquiry form for unrelated marketing, and we do not carry out automated decision-making or profiling.
Who we share information with
We share personal information only where necessary, including with our website hosting and email providers, professional advisers, insurers, payment or accounting providers, subcontractors and suppliers involved in a project, and roofing-system manufacturers where a specification or guarantee requires it. We may also disclose information where required by law or to protect legal rights.
We do not sell personal information. If a service provider processes information outside the UK, we require an appropriate legal safeguard.
How long we keep it
Enquiries that do not become projects are normally kept for up to 12 months. Project, contract, guarantee, accounting and tax records are normally kept for up to six years after the relevant work or financial year, or longer where a guarantee, legal requirement or dispute makes this necessary. We then delete or securely dispose of the information.
Cookies
This website currently uses only technical features needed to operate and secure the site. We do not currently use advertising or visitor-tracking cookies. If that changes, we will update this notice and ask for consent where the law requires it.
Your rights
Depending on the circumstances, you may ask us for a copy of your personal information, to correct or delete it, to restrict or object to its use, or to provide it in a portable format. You may also withdraw consent where consent is the basis for processing. Some rights are subject to legal exceptions.
Contact us using the details above to exercise a right. We may need to confirm your identity before responding.
Complaints
Please contact us first so we can try to resolve your concern. You also have the right to complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office at ico.org.uk/make-a-complaint or by calling 0303 123 1113.
